Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Bibb County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to address it and maintain necessary records. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless the sender authorizes disclosure or the law requires it.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bibb County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official routes through the Bibb County sheriff and courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's criminal-history repository, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into third-party dossiers or consumer reports, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices apply to data submitted through those tools. Those practices are outside this site's control, so users should review the relevant provider policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to courts, sheriff and state-agency pages, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms govern. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites for targeted advertising. Their tracking is governed by their policies.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

Code §41-9-601 penalizes specified misuse of criminal-offender information. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government record custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:

- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Request deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of processing when an applicable right allows it
